Our Mission
At Westie Rescue Southeast, our mission is to provide a safe and caring environment for all the Westies that come through our doors. We strive to adopt happy and healthy dogs and find loving forever homes hand-picked based on their needs. The best interest of the dog is first and foremost in our program.
Our Adoption Program
Westie Rescue Southeast follows a strict protocol when placing our rescues. A complete application MUST be on file by the potential adopter. Our dogs are primarily fostered in the greater Charlotte, NC and Raleigh, NC regions. Any applicant must be within a reasonable driving distance that will allow a meet and greet with potential adoptee. We require a home visit and meet and greet prior to any potential adoption. This does not guarantee an adoption. Our goal is to ensure that our rescue dogs find their perfect fit for a forever home.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the heart of our organization—and we truly have the best. Our foster families open their homes and hearts to Westies in need. Our transport volunteers step in at a moment’s notice to ensure every dog gets where they need to be. And our fundraising volunteers work tirelessly, bringing creativity and passion to help us meet—and exceed—our goals.
