Lizzie is a beautiful 13-year-old West Highland White Terrier with a gentle spirit and so much love still to give.
After recently losing both of her beloved owners, Lizzie’s world was turned upside down. Thanks to a kind neighbor who stepped in to care for her, she safely made her way to Westie Rescue Southeast, where she has been surrounded by love and stability ever since.
Now settled into her foster home, Lizzie is beginning a new chapter—and she’s ready to find a quiet, loving home to call her own.
Lizzie is a typical senior Westie: calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s near her person. She enjoys a peaceful environment and would do best in a home that understands and appreciates the slower pace of a senior dog.
She can be selective about other dogs she shares her space with, so a home as an only dog—or with a calm, respectful companion—would be ideal.
Lizzie is overall healthy, with only the expected age-related considerations, and she continues to do well with routine care and attention.
What Lizzie is looking for:
• A calm, stable home
• A family who will cherish her golden years
• A peaceful environment (minimal chaos)
• Ideally an only dog, or with a compatible companion
Lizzie has already experienced deep love in her life—and she still has so much of it left to give. She deserves a soft landing where she can feel safe, cherished, and at home once again.
If you have an approved application with Westie Rescue Southeast and feel you may be the right match for Lizzie, we would love to hear from you.
